Please pray for me (Sandy) as I take my first "non-LBC" missions trip this next week. Thirteen young adults are meeting at our home on Monday the 12th at 12:00 noon to begin orientation and final packing. We leave from Philadelphia on Tuesday and arrive in Frankfurt, Germany, Wednesday morning the 13th. We have reservations in a youth hostel in Heidelberg, Germany, for the first 2 nights. Then no reservations for 5 days until we stay in tents at Balmers Herberge in Interlaken, Switzerland. We are there for 3 nights and then no more reservations for the remainder of the trip. We fly home from Prague, July 27th.
The team consists of 2 current LBC students (one went with me to Europe last year), a high school student that I met while speaking in her Christian School chapel in Delaware, a group of students I met on a youth retreat in February, 2 LBC Alumni who went with me to Europe a couple of years ago, 2 LBC Alumni who never went on a trip with me and some others. I am excited about the team. There are a number who have never been out of the USA and a few who are nervous and scared. We will use the "world view survey" cards to ask people questions and seek to share the Gospel and leave "good books" along the way. God has been so good and gracious and opened up this opportunity to do what I love to do. This is part of what "Live 10:27 Ministries" is all about - taking people on cross-cultural experiences and seeing God change their lives.
